Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Golgari graveyard and token swarm deck commanded by The Mycotyrant. The primary strategy focuses on rapid self-mill and descent triggers, stocking the graveyard with permanent cards to create an expanding army of 1/1 Fungus tokens each turn. The deck converts this token mass into mana velocity using Cryptolith Rite and Insidious Roots, while Skullclamp and Ripples of Undeath maintain card flow. It establishes board control through asymmetric creature sacrifice engines like Grave Pact and Attrition. Once a critical mass of tokens and graveyard cards is achieved, the deck transitions to a lethal finish on Turn 5 by tutoring or dredging Craterhoof Behemoth into the graveyard and returning it with Dread Return, overrunning all three opponents in a single combat attack. Alternatively, aristocrat payoffs like Syr Konrad, the Grim and Warren Soultrader provide unblockable table-wide life drain.
