Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Group Slug and Voltron strategy commanded by Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost pingers—such as Razorkin Needlehead, Kederekt Parasite, and Blood Seeker—to repeatedly trigger Ob Nixilis whenever an opponent loses exactly 1 life. Each trigger places a +1/+1 counter on Ob Nixilis and exiles the top card of the library for impulse card flow, rapidly churning through the deck to assemble heavy taxation enchantments like Manabarbs and Painful Quandary. Opponents are punished for basic game actions like tapping lands or drawing cards, which fuels Ob Nixilis into an enormous flying, tramping threat. The deck converts table-wide attrition into rapid commander-damage eliminations while Price of Glory suppresses opposing interaction during your critical setup and combat turns.
