Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive spellslinger and combo deck built around 30 copies of Dragon's Approach led by Tiamat. Its primary game plan uses cost-reduction artifacts like Ruby Medallion and Locket of Yesterdays to rapidly burn the table and stock the graveyard. Once four copies of Dragon's Approach are in the graveyard, casting a fifth copy allows the pilot to tutor any Dragon from the library directly onto the battlefield. The primary win condition is fetching Astral Dragon while Cursed Mirror is on the battlefield, creating infinite token copies of Astral Dragon with haste to eliminate all opponents in a single combat step. Secondary win conditions include chaining burn spells with Thrumming Stone, refilling hands via Niv-Mizzet, Visionary or Knollspine Dragon, and casting Tiamat to tutor five distinct dragon threats. While proactive disruption and countermagic are minimal, extreme card redundancy and rapid recovery make the deck resilient against single-target interaction.
