Deck overview

Wolverine, Best There Is is a Gruul voltron deck built around his damage-doubling clause and +1/+1-counter engines. The primary plan is to make Wolverine huge with Halana, Innkeeper's Talent, Hardened Scales, and Unnatural Growth, then end the game with a Berserk-pumped combat, Chandra's Ignition, or Kediss-spread commander damage. The three other Wolverine legends in the 99 are backup threats, not a hidden commander. Fight spells and instant-speed pump double as removal and as a way to trigger Wolverine's end-step counter ability. The deck is not a combo deck; it is a linear, protection-heavy aggro deck that needs to resolve one clean kill turn after assembling a counter engine.
