Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo combo strategy commanded by Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. The primary game plan revolves around leveraging Malcolm's ability to generate Treasure tokens whenever Pirates deal damage to opponents. With Kediss on the battlefield, Malcolm deals combat damage to all three opponents simultaneously, creating three Treasures per hit. The deck uses this mana velocity to dig rapidly into its primary win condition, Glint-Horn Buccaneer, which forms an instant-speed infinite damage loop upon attacking. Backup lines include turning pingers like Reckless Fireweaver into Pirates with effects like Trickery Charm or Leyline of Transformation, as well as the standalone Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity combo. A robust suite of free and low-cost countermagic defends the engine while it races toward a decisive turn 4 victory.
