Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck harnesses Norman Osborn // Green Goblin to transform looting and self-discard into mana efficiency and card advantage. In the early game, Norman Osborn attacks without fear of blockers to connive, sculpting the hand and growing in power. Once transformed into Green Goblin, all discarded nonland cards gain mayhem and spells cast from the graveyard cost {2} less. The deck exploits this engine through mass discard spells like Windfall and Dark Deal, which trigger board-clearing -1/-1 counters from Archfiend of Ifnir and drain opponents with Faith of the Devoted. A compact infinite power combo with Crackdown Construct and Hyalopterous Lemure offers an alternate kill vector, while equipment and countermagic protect key permanents. Overall, the deck balances steady card flow, creature suppression, and aggressive evasive clocks to control the table.
