Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger strategy that uses The Emperor of Palamecia to generate mana and accumulate +1/+1 counters whenever you cast noncreature spells costing four or more mana. Once loaded with three counters, the commander transforms into The Lord Master of Hell, whose Starfall ability burns every opponent whenever it attacks based on the number of noncreature, nonland cards in your graveyard. The list supports this plan with high-impact instants and sorceries, counter-synergy creatures like Baxter, Fly in the Ointment and Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute, and token producers like Rise from the Tides. While the deck generates high burst damage in the mid-game, it operates at a moderate pace, relying on combat steps and graveyard accumulation rather than fast combos or heavy stax.
