Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Selesnya token and Food swarm strategy commanded by Farmer Cotton. The game plan focuses on rapid early mana acceleration to deploy token multipliers and mana conversion engines such as Jaheira, Friend of the Forest, Night of the Sweets' Revenge, and Academy Manufactor. Casting Farmer Cotton for a substantial X value creates an immediate, wide board of 1/1 Halflings and Food tokens. These tokens are tapped for mana or sacrificed for card draw and life gain triggers. Once a critical mass of creatures is established, the deck pivots into an overrun finish using cards like Akroma's Will, Mirror Entity, or Night of the Sweets' Revenge's activated ability. The deck protects its board state with premier defensive spells like Heroic Intervention and Teferi's Protection, while Aura Shards keeps opposing noncreature permanents under constant pressure.
