Deck overview

Anax, Hardened in the Forge leads a mono-red extra-combat deck that seeks to assemble Aggravated Assault with Sword of Feast and Famine for infinite combat steps, or chain creature-based extra-combat effects like Godo, Karlach, Combat Celebrant, Port Razer, and Moraug into lethal swings. Anax's death triggers convert every nontoken creature that dies into Satyr tokens, which fuel Goblin Bombardment, Skullclamp, Phyrexian Altar, and Purphoros. A heavy fast-mana package and a few tutors shorten the path to the combo, while damage multipliers such as Jeska, Gratuitous Violence, and Fiery Emancipation close lethal damage in one turn.
