Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai midrange strategy helmed by Shiko, Paragon of the Way, combining discard-based graveyard setup with blink synergies and burn payoffs. In the early game, cheap looting spells like Bitter Reunion and Steamcore Scholar fill the graveyard with high-impact permanents while smoothing land drops. Casting Shiko on Turn 5 immediately copies a low-cost permanent from the graveyard to generate value. The deck transitions into a lethal threat by pairing recurring blink triggers from Soulherder and Ephemerate with group burn engines such as Impact Tremors, Warleader's Call, and Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might. Supported by mass draw effects like Wheel of Fortune and Windfall, as well as backup token beaters like Kiora, the Rising Tide, the deck reliably burns out the entire table while maintaining high board resilience through instant-speed protection.
