Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. The primary game plan revolves around turning noncreature spell casts into massive card advantage and burn damage. By attaching damage-triggered card-draw effects such as Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout to Vivi, every noncreature spell cast deals one damage to each opponent and draws three cards. As Vivi's power swells from +1/+1 counters, its free mana-generation ability produces large amounts of blue and red mana to sustain uninterrupted spell chains. Trigger multipliers like Harmonic Prodigy and Veyran, Voice of Duality double both the damage and card draw. The deck finishes games in a single explosive turn using accumulated storm damage, Aetherflux Reservoir laser blasts, or a massive Crackle with Power. A dense suite of free and efficient counterspells protects the engine during its winning turn.
