Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis spellslinger strategy centered on Fire Lord Azula. Azula generates {R}{R} on attack and copies every spell you cast while she is attacking. The deck leverages this ability by chaining combat instants, rituals, and cantrips into massive bursts of card advantage, commander damage, and Magecraft triggers. Engine pieces like Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus turn each combat cast into multiple Treasures and card draws, fueling explosive sequences. Finishes are achieved either through lethal commander combat damage using doubled pump spells like Bulk Up and Twinferno, or by burning out the entire table with Professor Onyx and Ashling, Flame Dancer. Supported by efficient countermagic and fast mana, the deck pivots easily between single-target eliminations and storm turns.
