Thranduil, the Elvenking is an activated-ability toolbox in BUG Elves. The primary plan is to mill or loot Elf cards into the graveyard, then use Thranduil's last ability to activate their abilities - specifically Lathril's tap-ten-Elves drain and Ezuri's overrun. Landfall Elves and +1/+1 counters build a wide board, while the DFC Thranduil, Sindarin Liege // Silvan Rally is a value piece and token generator, not a hidden commander. Backup wins come from Exsanguinate once Elf mana is huge and from trampling attacks. Commander protection and instant-speed interaction are limited, so targeted removal and resolved graveyard hate can disrupt the game plan.
