Deck overview

This deck is a specialized mono-black Voltron build designed around the lethal touch of Phage the Untouchable. Because Phage causes her controller to lose the game if she enters without being cast from hand, the list dedicates critical card slots to enablers that circumvent this restriction. Cards like Torpor Orb and Sundial of the Infinite suppress or exile the catastrophic enter trigger, while Command Beacon, Campfire, and Netherborn Altar place Phage directly into hand from the command zone. Once safely on the battlefield, the deck equips Phage with unblockable tools such as Whispersilk Cloak, Prowler's Helm, and Trailblazer's Boots to eliminate opponents sequentially with combat damage. Heavy black mana rocks and transmute tutors ensure consistent access to the necessary combo pieces, while asymmetric board control pieces like Archfiend of Depravity clear defending boards to let Phage connect safely.
