Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Zask, Skittering Swarmlord to turn the graveyard into a renewable resource pool for Insect spells and lands. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with land-based ramp and self-mill tools like Life from the Loam and Grisly Salvage. Once Zask enters on turn 4 or 5, every sacrificed or dying Insect refills the graveyard and sets up continuous recursion loops. The primary win condition combines exponential token producers such as Scute Swarm and Insidious Roots with aristocrat drain effects like Syr Konrad, the Grim and Aatchik, Emerald Radian, or mass combat buffs from Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest and Coat of Arms. Supported by versatile recurrable removal like Haywire Mite and Caustic Caterpillar, the deck grinds down opposing resources and delivers a decisive lethal turn by turn 7.
