Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir battlecruiser strategy helmed by Marvo, Deep Operative. It manipulates the top of the library to guarantee clash victories, repeatedly casting massive Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and game-warping enchantments for free. Early turns focus on establishing mana velocity through low-cost mana rocks and filtering the topdeck with tools like Brainstorm, Scroll Rack, and Lim-D'ul's Vault. Once Marvo attacks on Turn 5, it cheats high-impact permanents such as Hullbreaker Horror, Stormtide Leviathan, and One with the Multiverse onto the battlefield. These threats impose asymmetric board control and combat restrictions on opponents. The deck then closes the game by scaling large combat damage with Spawning Kraken, Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep, and evasion enablers like Serpent of Yawning Depths, completing a reliable table finish by Turn 8.
