Deck overview

This deck is a Temur mutate midrange strategy built around Illuna, Apex of Wishes. Its game plan focuses on deploying resilient or cheap non-Human creatures during the early turns while ramping into six mana. On Turn 5, casting Illuna for its mutate cost targets an existing host, triggering an exile ability that cheats a nonland permanent directly onto the battlefield. High-impact hits like Colossification, Auspicious Starrix, or Quartzwood Crasher convert the mutate stack into a massive offensive threat capable of eliminating opponents through flying and trample damage. The deck backs up this primary plan with value mutators like Migratory Greathorn, Gemrazer, and Pouncing Shoreshark for on-demand utility. Because the strategy concentrates significant resources into a single stacked creature with minimal counterspell backup, its primary challenge is navigating spot removal and board wipes across multiplayer turn cycles.
