Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Teval, the Balanced Scale, focusing on a resilient graveyard-centric midrange strategy. The deck leverages efficient early ramp and self-mill creatures to quickly fill the graveyard with lands and high-impact threats. Once deployed on Turn 3 or 4, Teval generates compounding value on every attack by ramping lands directly onto the battlefield and producing 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens whenever cards leave the graveyard. The mid-game transitions into massive board presence through cards like Avenger of Zendikar, Colossal Grave-Reaver, and Lord of Extinction. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through overwhelming combat damage aided by evasion from Wonder in the graveyard, or through game-ending spells like Living Death and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. While it lacks countermagic to protect its spells proactively, its deep recursion engines ensure fast recovery against opposing interaction.
