Deck overview

This Esper combo list uses Noctis, Prince of Lucis to convert graveyard artifact recursion into an explosive storm engine. Noctis allows artifacts to be cast from the graveyard for their mana cost plus three life, normally entering with a finality counter. The deck bypasses this restriction by using self-countering effects like Chalice of the Void on zero, Vexing Bauble, or Void Mirror. When a 0-CMC artifact is cast from the graveyard, the static effect counters it on the stack, returning it directly to the graveyard without ever entering the battlefield or receiving a finality counter. With Aetherflux Reservoir in play, each loop iteration gains scaling life that quickly outpaces the 3-life casting cost. The deck then activates Aetherflux Reservoir to deal 50 damage to each opponent in a single turn. Robust tutors, silence effects, and backup Top-Forge engines give the strategy high velocity and resilience.
