Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Black Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy commanded by Liliana, Heretical Healer. The primary game plan curves early Zombie threats and sacrifice fodder, using low-cost creatures like Gravecrawler and Carrion Feeder to transform Liliana into Liliana, Defiant Necromancer on Turn 4. From there, the deck accrues incremental card advantage and board presence with card-draw engines like Undead Augur and Braids, Arisen Nightmare, while controlling opposing boards using fleshbag edicts and Noxious Ghoul. Critical pressure begins around Turn 6 with the arrival of heavy payoffs like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Grave Titan, or stacked Zombie lords such as Undead Warchief and Death Baron. The deck converts this advantage into a table kill by Turn 8 through repeated reanimation and mass combat. It excels at board recovery and grinding attrition, though it lacks instant stack interaction and relies on natural draws due to an absence of direct tutors.
