Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is led by Gandalf, Party Guest, turning legendary Wizard tribal synergy into explosive mana velocity. The core strategy revolves around deploying cheap legendary Wizards such as Baral, Chief of Compliance, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, and Vadrik, Astral Archmage to inflate Gandalf's combat-step free-casting threshold. Once assembled, Gandalf cheats high-cost, high-impact instants and sorceries like Sublime Epiphany, Blatant Thievery, and Will of the Temur straight from hand without paying mana. Trigger doublers such as Veyran, Voice of Duality and Harmonic Prodigy compound this value, fueling continuous card advantage through Archmage Emeritus and Alania, Divergent Storm. The deck closes games through an infinite hasty attacker combo with Dualcaster Mage and Molten Duplication, or through an evasive aerial swarm powered by Shark Typhoon and Balmor. A robust interaction suite of counterspells and sweepers protects the board while disrupting opposing strategies.
