Deck overview

This Selesnya token aggro deck is commanded by Bess, Soul Nourisher, focusing on flooding the battlefield with base 1/1 creatures to rapidly grow Bess and amplify the entire army during combat. The deck pairs early mana acceleration and efficient 1/1 producers like Ocelot Pride, Scute Swarm, and Secure the Wastes with potent token multipliers such as Doubling Season, Anointed Procession, and Mondrak, Glory Dominus. Once assembled on Turn 4, Bess converts each entering 1/1 into +1/+1 counters, transforming the token swarm into an overwhelming combat force by Turn 5. A robust suite of protection spells—including Heroic Intervention, Flawless Maneuver, and Teferi's Protection—shields the board against opposing board wipes and spot removal. While the deck boasts high redundancy and explosive damage output, it has minimal repeatable card draw engines and lacks stack interaction, leaving it reliant on proactive board superiority and closing out games through decisive combat steps by Turn 7.
