Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange strategy focused on resolving Sauron, the Dark Lord to generate continuous token pressure and substantial card flow. Sauron punishes opponents for casting spells by expanding an Orc Army token. When the Army deals combat damage, the Ring tempts you, letting you discard your hand to draw four fresh cards. Because the deck features low tutor density and modest ramp, it operates on a standard casual curve, deploying Sauron on Turn 6 and initiating critical combat onset on Turn 7. The deck converts card advantage into victory through commander damage, token duplication via Shaun, Father of Synths and The Apprentice's Folly, and unblockable combat attacks with Whispersilk Cloak or Enter the Enigma. While Sauron's Ward ability offers built-in defense against targeted spells, the deck must navigate multiple turns of combat exposure to defeat the table.
