Deck overview

This Azorius deck pairs The Seventh Doctor with Tegan Jovanka to create a synergistic artifact-token midrange strategy. Early turns focus on generating Clue tokens through efficient creatures and spells such as Thraben Inspector, Hard Evidence, and Forensic Gadgeteer. Tegan Jovanka enters on Turn 3 to provide combat protection, enabling The Seventh Doctor to safely attack on Turn 5. The Doctor's guessing trigger allows you to cheat high-mana bombs like Blightsteel Colossus, Kaldra Compleat, or Time Stretch directly onto the battlefield. Alternatively, the deck uses massive Clue counts to generate surplus mana via Five Hundred Year Diary and animates tokens into lethal airborne armies using Cyberdrive Awakener, Rise and Shine, or Tangletrove Kelp. A solid suite of Azorius countermagic and removal protects your board while closing out the game across two combat cycles.
