Edgar by lazerx8989

Format: Commander

Commander: Edgar Markov

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Mardu Vampire tribal aggro deck built around Edgar Markov's Eminence ability, which creates a free 1/1 Vampire token whenever you cast a Vampire spell - even while Edgar stays in the command zone. The primary plan is to out-build the table with a wide vampire swarm, then pump it through lords and anthems like Captivating Vampire, Cordial Vampire, Shared Animosity, and Door of Destinies. A parallel lifegain-drain engine - Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Exquisite Blood, Malakir Bloodwitch, and Vein Ripper - turns combat and death triggers into table-wide reach and houses the deck's only compact infinite combo. Mana Echoes and Smothering Tithe fuel explosive mid-game chains, Anointed Procession and Mondrak, Glory Dominus double the Eminence tokens, and a Sorin planeswalker package (led by Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord) provides removal, card advantage, and creature-cheating as a secondary axis.
