Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue artifact combo-control strategy commanded by Urza, Lord High Artificer. The game plan focuses on deploying inexpensive artifacts and utility rocks on the early turns to ramp into Urza on Turn 3 or 4. Once Urza enters the battlefield, every artifact functions as an untapped blue mana source while generating a scaling Construct token. The deck leverages this immense mana velocity to assemble infinite colorless mana combos, primarily via Basalt Monolith paired with Forsaken Monument or Rings of Brighthearth. Infinite mana enables Urza to activate his ability indefinitely, exiling the library and casting every nonland card for an immediate same-turn victory with Laboratory Maniac or storming out the table with Brain Freeze. Backup plans utilize Hullbreaker Horror bounce loops, Blightsteel Colossus beats, and resilient top-deck engines like Mystic Forge and The Reality Chip to maintain dominance across all stages of play.
