Deck overview

This deck executes a forced-combat control strategy centered on Firkraag, Cunning Instigator. In the opening turns, it deploys low-cost mana artifacts to accelerate Firkraag onto the battlefield on Turn 4, immediately attacking with haste and flying to goad opposing threats. As opponents are compelled to attack one another, Firkraag grows and draws extra cards on combat damage connections. In the midgame, mass goad and combat amplification effects such as Disrupt Decorum, Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer, Geode Rager, and Death Kiss force opponents into lethal mutual attrition while pillowfort pieces like Propaganda protect your life total. Once opponents have reduced each other's life totals, high-impact flying Dragons including Drakuseth, Maw of Flames and Astral Dragon, or an overloaded Spectacular Showdown, close out the final 1v1 matchup around Turn 8. The deck excels at board-based politics but is vulnerable to spell-based combos and lacks countermagic.
