Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Gruul combat and artifact-punishment deck commanded by Kibo, Uktabi Prince. The strategy revolves around giving opponents Banana tokens, then forcing those artifacts into the graveyard through attacks, sacrifices, or mass artifact sweepers like Vandalblast, Meltdown, and Anzrag's Rampage. Each destroyed artifact places +1/+1 counters on all friendly Apes and Monkeys, scaling a formidable attacking army. Counter doublers such as Hardened Scales, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, and Primal Vigor accelerate this growth, while All Will Be One converts counter placement directly into damage. The deck features heavy artifact hate and versatile permanent removal with Beast Within, Chaos Warp, and Kogla, the Titan Ape. Board protection spells like Heroic Intervention, Inspiring Call, and Dosan the Falling Leaf safeguard your creatures while overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede and Garruk's Uprising push lethal trample damage across the table.
