Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Howling Abomination is a fast red-green storm-adjacent spellslinger deck that wins by pointing a chain of cheap instants and sorceries at its commander. Every targeted spell makes the Abomination grow for the turn and burns each opponent for 2; Zada, Mirrorwing Dragon, Leyline of Resonance, and Frontline Heroism multiply those tricks across the board, while Season of Growth and cantrips keep the chain alive. Kediss or Chandra's Ignition turns a single large combat or activation into lethal damage to all opponents. The secondary line uses Zada with Storm-Kiln Artist to loop buyback spells, generating massive storm and Treasures, then finishes with Grapeshot or an enormous attacker. The deck is quick and explosive but leans on its commander and a handful of fragile enablers.
