Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages the Commander Legends Background pairing of Noble Heritage and Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar. In the early turns, it deploys ramp, defensive creatures, and Initiative enablers, using Noble Heritage to distribute +1/+1 counters while deterring aggressive attacks from opponents who accept the counters. Shadowheart converts these enlarged creatures into explosive card draw. In the mid-to-late game, the deck uses graveyard reanimation packages (Reanimate, Victimize, From the Catacombs) and high-impact dragons such as Ancient Gold Dragon, Ancient Brass Dragon, and Elder Brain to overwhelm the board and close the game through flying combat damage. Supported by targeted removal and board sweepers, the deck plays an attrition game that translates into dominant board presence.
