Deck overview

This deck is an Esper reanimator and token-cloning strategy commanded by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The primary game plan uses free or cheap discard outlets such as Putrid Imp, Tireless Tribe, and Frantic Search to pitch massive creature threats directly from hand. By paying {2}{U} whenever a creature is discarded, Hashaton creates tapped 4/4 black Zombie token copies of those creatures. These copies trigger powerful enter-the-battlefield abilities from cards like Archon of Cruelty, Ashen Rider, Magister Sphinx, and Grave Titan. The deck accelerates its mana with low-cost rocks, protects its Zombie army with Gleaming Overseer giving them hexproof, and backs up its board with classic reanimation spells like Victimize and Persist. In addition to crushing combat and life-drain pressure, the list includes an infinite mana combo using Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake to achieve decisive game locks.
