Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis "group slug" deck helmed by Nekusar, the Mindrazer, built to weaponize the draw step. The primary game plan is to force opponents to draw extra cards through symmetrical effects like Howling Mine, Dictate of Kruphix, and Teferi's Puzzle Box, then punish each draw with damage from Underworld Dreams, Ob Nixilis, the Hate-Twisted, Psychosis Crawler, and Nekusar himself. The deck also contains two infinite combo lines: Niv-Mizzet, Parun + Curiosity/Ophidian Eye for infinite damage, and Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension for infinite mill/life loss. Wheels like Winds of Change and Magus of the Wheel serve as burst draw that also trigger all punishers simultaneously, often ending the game in a single turn. The deck is highly redundant, with over ten forced-draw effects and a dense tutor suite to find its key pieces.
