Deck overview

Hamza, Guardian of Arashin commands a classic Selesnya +1/+1 counters and creature swarm deck. The strategy develops early board presence using low-cost creatures that gain counters, such as Conclave Mentor, Arahbo, the First Fang, and Good-Fortune Unicorn. Once three or more creatures carry +1/+1 counters, Hamza enters the battlefield at a heavy discount. In turn, Hamza provides substantial mana reduction for every subsequent creature spell, allowing the deck to rapidly deploy high-mana threats like Craterhoof Behemoth, Sovereign Okinec Ahau, and Conclave Sledge-Captain for minimal mana. The deck converts its wide, heavily buffed board into game-ending combat steps using mass overrun effects, including Akroma's Will, Overwhelming Stampede, and Craterhoof Behemoth. Robust defensive spells like Dauntless Escort, Inspiring Call, and Tamiyo's Safekeeping protect key pieces against destruction wipes. While susceptible to mass exile and bounce spells, the deck generates formidable battlefield pressure and rebuilds steadily through redundant counter synergies.
