Deck overview

This is a Grixis Villain tribal deck helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The strategy revolves around the connive mechanic-drawing, discarding, and growing threats-while leveraging discard payoffs for incremental damage and value. The deck builds a board of Villain creatures, uses token generators and copy effects (Mysterio, Master of Illusion, Endless Ranks of HYDRA, Sakashima of a Thousand Faces) to go wide, and converts discard triggers into pings (via Doctor Doom's static ability, Monument to Endurance, Cool but Rude). Graveyard recursion via mayhem (Abomination, World Ravager, The Squadron Sinister) and repeatable effects (Tombstone, Career Criminal, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress) provides grind. The primary win condition is incremental combat damage backed by drain, with no infinite combos present. The deck is a slow, value-oriented midrange build that seeks to outlast opponents through card advantage and repeated threats.
