Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is a graveyard-toolbox Elf deck. The primary plan is to mill Elf creatures into the graveyard, cast Thranduil, and use his granted activated abilities-Devoted Druid's untap, Immaculate Magistrate's counters, Elvish Archdruid's mana, and Tyvar the Pummeler's pump-to produce an arbitrarily large board and finish with combat. Secondary paths are straightforward Elf-tribal beats with lords, tokens, and Overwhelming Stampede, or mass reanimation from Living Death and Bloodline Bidding. Trystan, Callous Cultivator functions as a hidden commander-style self-mill engine, repeatedly filling the graveyard while Thranduil draws cards off other legendary Elves.
