Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos artifact reanimation and combat attrition strategy helmed by Mishra, Claimed by Gix. The primary game plan accelerates mana on Turns 1-3 while filling the graveyard with high-impact artifact creatures such as Phyrexian Dragon Engine, Myr Battlesphere, and Portal to Phyrexia. On Turn 5, the deck melds Mishra with the unearthed Dragon Engine into Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia, deploying immediate pressure through hand disruption, permanent removal, and heavy combat damage. Backup strategies leverage Feldon of the Third Path, Victimize, and myriad token generators like Cybermen Squadron and The Master, Multiplied to overwhelm the table with wide artifact armies. While vulnerable to well-timed instant-speed creature removal and graveyard hate, the deck boasts resilient recovery through redundant recursion spells and explosive reanimation lines that reliably close out games by Turn 7.
