Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Toxic and Corrupted strategy led by Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient early toxic and infect creatures to poison every opponent early. Once each opponent has at least three poison counters, Ixhel and Corrupted payoffs such as Contaminant Grafter and Goliath Hatchery generate continuous card and mana advantage. The deck transitions into the late game by deploying heavy Phyrexian threats like Vishgraz, the Doomhive, Phyrexian Swarmlord, and Tyrranax Rex, rapidly closing the game by proliferating poison counters to ten with cards like Evolution Sage, Contagion Clasp, and Vraska, Betrayal's Sting. An efficient Abzan removal suite of Swords to Plowshares, Assassin's Trophy, and Tear Asunder controls opposing threats, while White Sun's Twilight provides an asymmetric board wipe that simultaneously generates a lethal toxic army.
