Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats Midrange strategy led by Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar. It uses cheap token generators such as Ophiomancer and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia to feed sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer and Bartolomé del Presidio. Each death or exile trigger grows Syr Vondam while gaining life. Blood artist effects like Cruel Celebrant, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim drain the entire table simultaneously. Syr Vondam's secondary ability punishes opponents for removing it once its power reaches 4, destroying any nonland permanent on death or exile. Supported by card draw engines like Morbid Opportunist and Welcoming Vampire, wide anthems like Cathars' Crusade, and protection from Luminous Broodmoth, the deck creates steady combat and drain pressure that closes the game around turn 8.
