Deck overview

This is a Grixis midrange Amass/Ring deck helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The core plan is to grow a single enormous Orc Army through repeated amass triggers, connect in combat to trigger the Ring, and convert those temptations into massive card advantage via Sauron's discard-and-draw-four clause. Supporting engines-Saruman, the White Hand, March from the Black Gate, Orcish Bowmasters, and the Nazgul package-feed the same Army while a suite of Wraiths, Dragons, and reanimation spells supply additional pressure. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through combat damage, occasionally accelerated by Scourge of the Throne's extra combat. Sauron is both the premier amass engine and the primary card-advantage outlet, making him central but not the sole path to a functional board.
