Deck overview

This Grixis deck is piloted by Edea, Possessed Sorceress, focusing on an aggressive steal-and-sacrifice control strategy. The primary game plan revolves around casting Edea on turn 5 to hijack opposing creatures at the beginning of combat. By attacking with stolen threats and sacrificing them to outlets like Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, the deck triggers Edea's death ability to draw cards while recurring attrition engines like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos keep opposing battlefields completely clear. The list is supported by efficient interaction, including free spells like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick, resilient protection such as Slip Out the Back and Lazotep Plating, and potent token/card advantage engines like Black Market Connections and The Theorist, Jace Beleren. The deck finishes games on turn 8 through continuous combat pressure, life drain from Evereth, Viceroy of Plunder or Shadow, Mysterious Assassin, or resolving mass-theft spells like Insurrection and Mutinous Massacre.
