Yuriko Ninjutsu

Format: Commander

Commander: Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a cEDH-caliber Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow tempo/combo deck. The game plan starts with a swarm of evasive zero- and one-mana creatures that feed Ninjutsu, letting Yuriko enter tapped and attacking for a flat {U}{B} - commander tax never applies. Her trigger draws the top card and drains each opponent by its mana value, a damage engine supercharged by high-MV spells like Shadow of Mortality, Temporal Trespass, Dig Through Time, and Sea Gate Restoration. The primary kill, however, is the Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation line, backed by Tainted Pact and Doomsday piles and assembled through a dense tutor suite. A full complement of free countermagic protects the combo turn, while Roaming Throne and Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive keep the ninja beatdown plan as a legitimate secondary route to victory.
