Deck overview

Hazezon, Shaper of Sand helms an aggressive Naya lands-and-tokens deck designed to convert Desert landfall triggers into an overwhelming swarm of Sand Warrior tokens. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient ramp spells like Birds of Paradise, Wild Growth, and Exploration, deploying Hazezon on Turn 3. Once on the battlefield, Hazezon breaks parity on land sacrifices and cycling Deserts by playing them directly from the graveyard, creating two 1/1 Sand Warriors with every Desert entry. Token multipliers like Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Annie Joins Up rapidly scale the board presence. By Turn 5, the deck transitions from token accumulation to an immediate lethal finish, utilizing tutors like Natural Order and Finale of Devastation to deploy decisive overrun effects such as Craterhoof Behemoth, Moonshaker Cavalry, or Jetmir, Nexus of Revels. Resilient protection from Sylvan Safekeeper and Heroic Intervention shields the board, ensuring the army survives to deliver a table-wide knockout.
