Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color combat midrange engine centered on Heroes in a Half Shell and +1/+1 counter synergies across Mutant, Ninja, and Turtle creature types. Early turns focus on mana fixing, ramp, and establishing low-curve utility creatures like April O'Neil, Live on the Scene and Michelangelo, the Heart. The deck transitions into its primary engine on Turn 5 by casting Heroes in a Half Shell, utilizing its natural haste, vigilance, menace, and trample to immediately attack, distribute counters, and draw cards. Critical onset arrives on Turn 6 through compounding threats like Sovereign Okinec Ahau, Raphael, the Muscle, and Shredder, Shadow Master. While vulnerable to mass removal and lacking fast combo finishes, the deck leverages asymmetric tools like Wave Goodbye and defensive pieces like Shalai, Voice of Plenty to close games through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 8.
