Format: Commander

Commander: Thantis, the Warweaver

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Thantis, the Warweaver leads a forced-combat control deck that makes every creature attack and punishes opponents for attacking you. The primary plan is to cast Thantis and layer goad effects so opponents must attack each other while you stay safe behind pillow-fort enchantments and fogs. Thantis gains +1/+1 counters whenever a creature attacks you and becomes a large vigilant finisher. Secondary paths win through incremental drain from Hissing Miasma, Revenge of Ravens, Marchesa's Decree and Vengeful Ancestor, and through token value from Dragonlair Spider and Arasta. Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant acts as a hidden commander, providing repeatable goad and card draw when Thantis is unavailable.
