Deck overview

This Selesnya deck combines aggressive stax pieces with a compact two-card infinite combo to control competitive tables. Led by Yasharn, Implacable Earth, the deck immediately cuts off life-payment spells, fetchlands, and Treasure sacrifices, crippling fast combo and storm strategies. A dense suite of hatebears including Collector Ouphe, Drannith Magistrate, Archon of Emeria, and Gaddock Teeg shuts down artifact mana, non-hand casts, and big noncreature spells. While opponents struggle under these restrictive taxes, the deck accelerates its mana with low-cost mana dorks and uses creature tutors to assemble Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista. Granting lifelink to Ballista produces an infinite damage loop that ends the game on the spot. If the primary combo is disrupted, the deck pivots cleanly into overwhelming combat damage using Craterhoof Behemoth or an asymmetric lock with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite.
