Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya aggro deck led by Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar. The strategy revolves around deploying early creatures, modifying their power above base values using +1/+1 counters and auras, and leveraging Kutzil's combat damage trigger to draw extra cards. Kutzil provides built-in protection by stopping opponents from casting spells on your turn, allowing you to cast spells and execute combat steps without fear of countermagic or flash-speed removal. Because the deck relies on traditional combat damage across 120 opponent life without combo finishes or explosive overrun effects, it operates on a late-game clock. The mana base features 39 lands to ensure consistent land drops, while the creature suite combines incremental counter placement with resilient beaters.
