Deck overview

This Grixis Spellslinger deck uses Fire Lord Azula as a combat-based spell multiplier. Azula generates {R}{R} upon attacking and copies any spell cast while she is attacking. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient mana rocks, rituals, and early draw engines such as Mystic Remora and Rhystic Study. On Turn 4, declaring Azula as an attacker unleashes explosive combat sequences by doubling instant rituals, card draw, and tutors. These doubled spells rapidly build storm count, fill the graveyard, and generate the mana required to cast Underworld Breach. From there, the deck loops Brain Freeze with rituals to mill out all opponents, or channels massive mana into a game-ending Crackle with Power. Robust free countermagic—including Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Force of Will—defends the win window from opposing disruption.
