Deck overview

This deck utilizes Baron Helmut Zemo at the helm of a mono-black graveyard and devotion engine. The strategy focuses on filling the graveyard with high-devotion black permanents such as Doomsday Excruciator and Phyrexian Obliterator through connive triggers, self-mill, and direct tutors like Buried Alive. Once the graveyard reaches 15 black mana symbols, Zemo attacks to boast, exiling those cards to cast up to three massive spells for free. The deck quickly overwhelms opponents on turn 5 using devastating payoffs such as Archfiend of Despair, Bolas's Citadel, and Archon of Cruelty, paired with life-loss doublers to execute a full table kill by turn 6. Even without the commander, a redundant suite of traditional reanimation spells ensures consistent pressure.
