Drain & Gain BOOIIII by user9306002

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves leads a Golgari elf-combo deck that wins primarily through life-drain loops rather than pure combat. The plan is to accelerate with one-drop Elves and Black Market Connections, cast Lathril to generate Elf Warrior tokens, then assemble a two-card drain combo such as Bloodthirsty Conqueror plus Dina, Soul Steeper or Exquisite Blood plus Starscape Cleric. Tutors find the missing pieces, while Finale of Devastation and Bolas's Citadel/Aetherflux Reservoir provide alternate finishes. Lathril is the token engine and easiest initial life-loss trigger, but no combo requires her; there is no hidden commander.
