Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Dragon tribal list led by Firkraag, Cunning Instigator, combining evasive flying beatdown with aggressive forced-combat politics. By deploying two-mana ramp spells on early turns, the deck consistently casts Firkraag on turn 4. Because Firkraag has flying and haste, it attacks immediately, goading opposing creatures to disrupt enemy combat strategies and draw cards whenever goaded creatures connect. From turn 5 onward, the deck leverages cost-reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Sarkhan, Soul Aflame to deploy massive flying threats such as Utvara Hellkite, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Terror of the Peaks. Mass goad effects like Disrupt Decorum and defensive measures like Propaganda direct opposing aggression away from you while wearing down enemy life totals. The deck reaches a critical must-answer board state by turn 6 and consistently closes the table through flying combat damage by turn 8.
